School-Home Communication |
Report Cards Report cards are issued four times annually, one per advisory. Report cards can be picked up on the night of parent-teacher conferences. Otherwise, they will be mailed home. Progress Reports Halfway through each advisory, as necessary, teachers will issue progress reports informing parents that their student is in danger of failing the advisory. Parent-Teacher Conferences Parent-teacher conferences take place three times during the school year following the end of each advisory (November 21, February 11, and April 24). This is an opportunity for you to meet each of your student’s teachers in person and to review your student’s progress. Contacting Teachers (202) 282-0120 To contact your student’s teacher(s), please call the main office and leave a message. Most teachers will return your call within one or two days. Counselors (202)-282-0474 The counselors are available to help parents and students at any time. Your student’s counselor will be able to arrange meetings with multiple teachers. Visiting Wilson (202) 282-0120 Parents are welcome to visit Wilson and classrooms. In order to make sure that your visit will not be disruptive, please call ahead to arrange an appointment or observation time. Also, please remember that all visitors should sign in at the Main Office.
